Counselling helps you gain perspective on your behaviour, emotions and relationships, it allows you to express your feelings and identify patterns of thinking.

SIAS offers a confidential counselling service to help individuals, couples, groups or families to understand and deal with problems connected to drug or alcohol use. Anyone accessing counselling can expect.

  • One-hour sessions, usually weekly, with a qualified counsellor
  • Initial clear agreement about focus and aims
  • Regular review of progress
  • A non-judgmental service tailored to suit individual needs
  • Some people might after being assessed be seen as requiring an inpatient detox due to multiple or severe physical/mental health issues) If the need for a hospital bed is identified then they will be referred to our current inpatient facility for admission to be arranged. This usually consists of a seven day stay.
